Project SVN Completed
Yay, after 3 long weeks the project is finally done. A normal person could have actually done it in 5 hours but you know, I have other stuff to take care of. Anyway, here it is, the product of my boredom and false belief that I’m an anime artist lol. So some stat about the VN: it has 2526 words and about 149 screens of dialogue. I used about 15 BG images, 2 sprites, 5 BGM, and 5 SFX. Of course full credits were given to my resources. It was a wonderful experience for me. I used to just leech around for free VNs (I still do) and now I’ve finally made my own.
It isn’t perfect though, half-baked you may call it, but I think the structure is already there. I’ve realized that I’ve focused more on the technical stuff of the VN. While it is equally important, I think I neglected the very backbone of the VN which is the story. I think my story is still too weak. Thanks to my editor, I was able make it a bit readable. Then again this is my first time so I hope that excuses me lol.
PS. I already sent copies to Coeli, AS, Lanie-emon, & Setsuna-san who all requested a copy earlier.

I’m now providing direct links to the SVN thanks to Pytom’s encouragement & support. For those who do not know, Pytom is the creator of the famous Renpy VN engine. Thanks for tips!^^ So sorry for all the hassle, I didn’t expect that visitors other than the regular commentators on this blog would really be interested in reading this. Versions:
*a minor bug: there’s a portion where the text window expands if the text is too large. Pytom recommended a short script to fix it but it is not yet included in this version.
Some Comments:
AS said: I finished the game, pretty interesting and something we otaku can relate to for the main character K ^^. The only thing that I would change is being able to pick the main characters name, but I assume that you will work on it and just made it K to make it easier for you while you finish the game. Interesting twist and good sound effects ^^. Send me more when you get more done lol ^^

Just finished playing it. You already pointed out the weaknesses yourself, so I’m not going go there. Other than that, good selection of SFX and BGM. Loved the transition between each scene, as it gave the story a proper flow ^^ Did you do the character designs yourself? If so, great work with that. I especially liked that closeup shot of the heroine. For some reason she reminded me of Aiko from True Tears lawl. Story side, it’s a little short, so I’m expecting more content from you to make up for it ¯\(º_o)/¯

Shin, thanks a lot I’m glad you liked some aspects of the VN. Except for the story, all the materials came from free resources, they’re all listed in the end-credits. Yes I love that closeup shot, it was really perfect for that scene. BCS of Lemmasoft forums made that ^^

nice work honey! mwah. for everyone’s info, K was based on an actual person… hmmm.. I wonder who could he be? hehehe.. well anyway, the characters (and also the plot) were inspired more or less by the characters you’ll find in Haruki Murakami’s books…. shinji’s favorite author.

Congrats on finishing this project. I’ve play it and I reckon it can be improves. But for a first time project it sure was awesome ^^. I really like the story and I can somewhat relate to the main character. Osana Najimi is made out of FTW, lol.

I was finally able to read it. It was kinda my first time with a visual novel thing, um, so my feedback would probably not be of much help. LOL.
It was really nice. Pretty basic storyline, but coherent and easy to follow along. The words you used were easy to understand as well and I found the font size and type convenient to read (not too small, not too large either). It needed a wee bit more editing but that errors were just minor. I really liked the details of the drawings/art, especially the room. The BGMs and sounds were well done. Nice character design (little Hisa was really cute!). I especially liked the last part with the train. Though it was short, I enjoyed reading it. Overall, I thought it was well done and you did a really good job! =)
I hope what I said made sense. Haha. I’m looking forward to reading more, if you decide to continue it. Thanks for sharing your project! ^_^

What a dreadfull story (I’m refering to version 1.0)… XD. The ending felt almost as if she would jump under the train X__X. The rest of the story was quite nice though…. Good work :).
P.S.: How come little Hisa and older Hisa have different hair and eye colors XD

Natirips, thanks for the compliments. I used character graphics from two different free sources so they don’t really look alike hehe. Let’s just pretend that Hisa had a make-over hehe^^
